ROMYNOX wants to make significant steps in sustainability. We've set ambitious goals for our business operations and continuously work to make us even more sustainable every day.
Of course, we separate the waste flows in our office and warehouse, we drink sustainable coffee (where the profits supports projects in Africa), there is hardly any printing and we try to plan freight movements as efficiently as possible. In addition, our fleet has almost completely switched to electric vehicles, and we expect to have nothing but electric vehicles by the end of 2022. We encourage our employees to come by bicycle or public transport, and from 2023 it will no longer be allowed to park at our building with vehicles that use gas or diesel.
If possible, our staff works from home for at least 50% of the time and everyone has a fully equipped workplace at home. This saves a lot of travel time and contributes to the reduction of traffic. Moreover, it gives our employees time to focus and offers flexibility.
BREEAM Certified Building
Our new office that is currently being constructed is built according to the BREEAM excellent standard. All building materials have been checked and traced to ensure that they leave a minimal footprint and transport movement during construction is limited. Safety, separation of waste flows and good facilities for construction workers are also examined very closely.
The building will be completely energy neutral and will be equipped with more than 300 solar panels, underfloor heating, multiple heat pumps and daylight-controlled LED lighting. The building will have a very good working environment, created in collaboration with our employees. Sufficient space for everyone, good (day)light, office plants and very good ventilation, climate control and noise reduction. In addition, our team will have access to a small gym. Around the building we will install various ecological facilities and water-permeable paving. Of course, the parking spaces are provided with charging stations for electric cars and bicycles.
