The HFC decoupling allows sterile disconnection.


The automatic shut-off valve closes during disconnection, maintaining sterility on both sides of the system. This makes the HFC disconnection ideal for the aseptic processes in biopharma and cell and gene therapy (e.g. for decoupling storage/mixing tanks, SU bioreactors, transfer lines, chromatography skids, filters, sampling, and freeze/thaw bags). A protective thumb latch cover helps reduce the chance of accidental disconnection and is laser marked with the item and lot number for complete batch traceability.
