How? Our easy-to-use torque tools set a torque limit to prevent over compression. Remantel your pipe-work systems without damaging it.
We offer Torque Rite, Torque Knob and torque Ratchet. We also offer universal socket (Oval and round). Which can both be used with any of our torque tool.

Our Torque Ratchet are available from 30 till 70 IN-LB. The Torque Knob from 9 till 70 IN-LB. And the torque Rite Tee from 30 till 70 IN-LB.
Those tools are essentials if you want to comply with GMP standards.

You won’t have to deal with leakage or compressed seals and gaskets. Use the right torque tools, the right way and the chance of having a too lose or too tightened gasket or seal is eliminated:

1- A click to know the limit: Our torque knob, tee, and ratchets combined with our torque sockets are all pre-set. As our tools are pre-set, a click informs you when you reach the right pressure.

2- One gasket material, one torque level: to work properly, each gasket material needs a special torque value. Select your torque value ( 10,20,30 IN-LB...) following your gasket material and you will be all settled.

THE TORQUE KNOB

Mainly using your hand power. Give you the best grip when you have low torque value to do. To turn until it starts clicking. Usefull when you have a small area of action to turn the torque. You can’t turn it after the click happened. Only one torque tool in our stock that comes in 9 IN-LB . Notice that using a high torque value like 70 IN-LB will require a lot of grip strengh.

THE TORQUE TEE RITE

This tool is adapted for a middle range level of strenght needed. Ideal for clamps that are tricky to access thanks to its long body. Request a middle-range level of grip. Needed for middle-range torque level. Makes a click when the torque is achieved. You can overpass the torque value by switching its position.

THE TORQUE RATCHET

The best tool when you have a high torque value to perform ( 70 IN-LB). Useful when the clamp is located in an area with space around it and is easy to access. Makes a click when you achieve the torque value. But you can easily overpass the value if you keep turning. The tool that will be the easiest to take in hand and needs the lower grip power.

How to pick the right socket ? ( Round or Oval)

both work in each situation

You can’t pick wrong!

Our sockets are universal, meaning they work both equally. Picking one or another is up to your personal preference during your usage.

ROMYNOX offers two kinds of sockets: Round or Oval.

They are designed to fit on almost all nuts, including the Butterfly and Hex* nuts (16mm).

This makes the Round and Oval socket unique since it will fit all of the standard nuts, making the usage as simple as possible.

ROMYNOX pre-set Torque

What is a torque value? It is the Newton meter or the inch per pound you will use each time you turn the torque until you hear the click. The highest the value is, the more strength you will impose on your gasket

Pick your tool following your gasket :
Not all gaskets can endure the same strength. Silicon-based need a lower torque value than PTFE ones.
If your gaskets are made of:

  • Buna, EPDM, FKM, Silicone, Kalrez, Tuf-Flex® you should go with a maximum torque tool of 40 IN-LB.
  • PTFE, Tuf-Steel®, and Envelope Gaskets go with a torque of 50 IN-LB.
    GYLON BIO-PRO®, GYLON BIO-PRO PLUS™, or torque of 70 IN-LB is recommended

IN-LB or Nm?

The different scales indicated are related to the metric system you use: inch (imperial IN-LB) or meters (metric Nm).
IN-LB means inch per pound. Or how much extra pound do you use each time you turn by an inch?

Nm means Newton per meter. Following the same physic logic.

The difference in metric systems explains the 2 ways to evaluate a torque value. Romynox offers those values both in the metric or imperial system. For example the Torque Knob for 20 IN-LB and 2,3 Nm. If you need a special torque value, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and talk about it.
